When making a purchase from, or visiting Ricks Livefood website it is acknowledged that you accept the following Terms and Conditions.

 

Our Terms and Conditions do not affect your statutory rights.

 

Orders will not be sent out until full payment has been received / cleared; for example a PayPal eCheque can take take 7-9 days before the funds will clear.

 

All orders will be sent out by first class post, unless another service is chosen by the customer such as special delivery.  First class post items are not insured, see shipping and delivery section for insured options.

 

All insect quantities quoted on the website are approximate, it is impossible to count out the exact number of insects. However, we endeavour to supply quantities over and above the numbers quoted wherever possible, this is not guaranteed.

 

Insect sizes; the size guide gives an approximate indication of the size of insect offered for sale, sizes will be within the parameters given wherever possible. A newly morphed instar will not be the same size as an insect near its next morph stage, so for example there may be a variation within a size range for example a medium locust will be within the range of 12-20mm.

 

Ricks Livefood reserves the right not to send out orders in certain circumstances, such as, extremes of hot or cold weather that would be detrimental to the well being of the insects, postal strikes that would lead to insects being stuck in transit. Heat packs will be available for orders sent out in cold weather at cost price. Please email if you wish for heat packs to be included with your order.

 

Ricks Livefood reserves the right to refuse service to customers who may have committed or tried to commit fraud by using payment from another party without said persons knowledge or consent, for example;  using a PayPal account that is not in their name without the account holders permission. In such cases the website owner will take advice from the relevant payment authority, for example PayPal.

 

Ricks Livefood reserves the right to refuse service to customers who are in breach of the terms and conditions of this website.

 

Ricks Livefood does not accept responsibility for any loss or damage to insects once received by the customer. It is up to the customer to ensure the insects when received are housed properly and their well being taken care of. See livefood care section for help and advice. It is up to the customer to ensure they are able to receive orders sent out, delays due to the customer not being available to receive the order and any resultant damage to the insects will not be Ricks Livefood’s responsibility.

 

All communications between customers and Ricks Livefood and vice versa will remain confidential. All customer data will be held in accord with the Data protection Act.

 

All content on this website is the property of Ricks Livefood, graphics, images, text, and all other items are not to be reproduced or copied in any manner. The contents of this website are protected by copyright laws.

 

Disputes; any dispute shall be dealt with in a fair and equitable manner in accord with the customers statutory rights and in accord with the terms and conditions as stated.

 

If you are unhappy with your order: problems must be notified to Ricks Livefood by email within 12 hours of receiving your order. Replacements / Refunds  can only be given if there is a genuine problem and only given once the livefood has been returned to  Ricks Livefood (any returns must be made within 7 days of receipt), return postage costs are unable to be refunded. Satisfactory proof must be provided to support any claim, for example photographic evidence. The aforementioned steps are in place to help prevent fraud.

 

Product descriptions will be as accurate as is possible but we do not guarantee against accidental errors.
